Careers: Employers

We are very proud of our links with local and national businesses and are always looking to expand our partnerships. There are many ways in which you can get involved; supporting curriculum projects, interviewing students on their interview skills day, working with students in challenge and brilliant club, judging our enterprise competition, having a stand at our careers fair, assemblies, workshops and informal talks with students.

Employer, college, university, training or apprenticeship provider.

The Joseph Whitaker School adheres to the Baker Clause that came into force in 2018. Providers of technical education, alternative 14-16 providers, FE colleges and apprenticeship providers are able to speak with our students about the opportunities available to them.

We welcome links with local employers as this can only strengthen Careers Education for our students. There are many ways in which you can get involved; supporting curriculum projects, interviewing students on their interview skills day, working with students in challenge and brilliant club, judging our enterprise competition, having a stand at our careers fair, assemblies, workshops and informal talks with students.

If you interested in providing any support for our students, please contact us and one of our Careers Leaders will be able to help facilitate this.
