What Will I learn?

You will gain a good understanding of health and social care in the wider contexts of different environments and settings where care takes place. You will explore the importance of effective communication in health and social care together with the importance of legislation in health and social care and how to deliver a person-centred approach in the care given. Learners will also develop transferable skills such as communication, research, planning and organisation.

How Am I Assessed?

Throughout this course you will be expected to apply your knowledge to both coursework and external examinations. As this is a Level 3 qualification there are three examined modules and three coursework modules over the two years of study which are internally assessed and verified externally.

What Career Options Do I Have?

The Health and Social Care Level 3 is the ideal qualification for anyone wishing to enter the caring professions, including teaching, nursing, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, early years and any profession that involves the care of others. Health and Social Care opportunities are amongst the largest field of employment with the NHS having more than 1.5 million employed by them. The Course is equivalent to 1 A Level and can lead you into a variety of University Courses such as Teaching, Early Years, Health and Social Care, Counselling and many more.
