Conditions of Hire


  1. All correspondence must be addressed to The Joseph Whitaker School, Warsop Lane, Rainworth, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, NG21 0AG.


  1. Clubs wishing to hire our facilities must request via the School Hire website official approval from The Joseph Whitaker School Sports College Administration.


  1. Charges for the facilities are as The Joseph Whitaker School Sports College pricing policy. One month’s notice will be given for any forthcoming price changes.


  1. Clubs can have the option of Initial payment as a one off booking or via a split payment table via the schoolHire Booking System if the booking is longer than a month period. If any clubs / groups have any problems then they are required to contact The sports College Administration


  1. In the event of cancellation by the hirer, 24 hours cancellation period is required for notification prior to charges being made. Less notice will result in the full amount being charged.


  1. The maximum number of persons permitted to use the facility shall not exceed the number specified by management, for reasons of Health & Safety.


  1. A function or event must not be publicised or advertised as taking place until the booking is accepted via the SchoolHire booking system, or by management of the facility.


  1. The Hirer shall be responsible for any damage inflicted on the building, fixtures, fittings or any other contents during the hire period. The Joseph Whitaker School Sports College does not accept any responsibility for the loss or damage of personal possessions.


  1. The Hirer shall indemnify The Joseph Whitaker School Sports College from any claim for damages, costs or expenses which may be against The Joseph Whitaker School Sports College in respect of any injury, loss or damage of property sustained by any person during or in consequence of the hiring.


  1. If required by Management, the hirer shall produce effective insurance cover before the date of the hiring in joint names of the Management and the Hirer against the Hirer’s liability for an amount recommended by the Management and produce evidence of this.


  1. At the end of the hire period, the Hirer must ensure that the premises are cleared of litter and left in a good condition.


  1. No sweepstakes, raffles or other form of lottery shall be promoted or conducted on the premises with the exception of lotteries which are deemed to be lawful by virtue of any enactment relating to Gaming, Betting and Lotteries.


  1. Photographs for publication or professional use must not be taken without permission of the Management


  1. The right to use the facility or equipment is not transferable


  1. The Joseph Whitaker School Sports College equipment used by the Hirer’s must be returned to its appointed place at the end of the hire period.



  1. Setting up and dismantling of equipment is included in the hire period booking time


  1. Animals must not be bought into The Joseph Whitaker School Sports College with the exception of Blind Dogs.


  1. It is accepted that users will behave with due care and respect for public property.


  1. Any breech of the above Conditions of Hire, decided upon by the Officer in charge, will result in the termination of your Hire Agreement. The full amount of the hire charge will be payable and further bookings cancelled.


  1. E.C. Electrical regulations require a Certificate of testing from a qualified electrician on any electrical appliance e.g. disco equipment, CD players etc.


  1. The Management will determine any queries arising from the interpretation of the Condition of Hire or the charges.
