    Parents and Carers

We recognise how important Parents/Carers are when it comes to ensuring examination success for our students. We thank you for the work you have already done in order to make the partnership between home and school a successful one and look forward to your continued support and co-operation. We would gladly welcome the attendance of Parents/Carer at our Open Evening to discuss suitable courses for our incoming Year 12 students. We feel that this would be a valuable opportunity for you to meet some of the tutors and to view the facilities we offer to our Sixth Form students.

Our prime aim in our Sixth Form is the achievement of academic excellence. Without academic success, a student’s time in Sixth Form Education is largely wasted. Therefore, if a student fails to meet our expectations of them we may, regretfully, ask them to leave. We believe that this is in the best interests of the student and of the Sixth Form as a whole. Parents/Carers will be kept constantly informed about the progress of their child, both on an informal basis (telephone, e-mail) and on a formal basis (meetings with Parents/Carers and reports).
